·        Participation in monthly meetings throughout the western area of the state and the annual convention.

·        Participation in the association’s annual Awards Program for both deeds of valor and service.

·        Eligibility for the association’s competitive tuition assistance (scholarship) program.

·        Access to 10,000 individual members from nearly 500 fire companies for networking and sharing ideas, problems, and solutions.

·        Special rates on cellular telephone service through Verizon Wireless.

·        Notary Public services available through Association office.

Who is eligible:

Active Membership:

The active membership shall be all members duly elected from time to time by the respective fire organization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Directors of Public Safety, chiefs and assistant chiefs, fire marshals, superintendents of Fire Alarm and Telegraph, and all active and retired firefighting persons on the rolls of any company within this Association’s jurisdiction, if qualified, according to our Constitution and By-Laws, who continue from their admission to comply with the laws if the Association relative to the payment of dues, etc.

Beneficial Status:

Persons between the ages of 14 and  older pay annual dues of $6 and are eligible for the death benefit.

Business Membership:

Businesses with an interest in supporting the work of the emergency services within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania can become Associate or Benefactor members, as defined below.

Associate Members:

For an annual dues payment of $25, the business receives a mention once a year in our newsletter, a certificate of membership, and the right to attend meetings. (They have no vote or voice in Association business.)

Benefactor Members:

For an annual dues payment of $75, the business receives a full page (8.5 x 11 inch) advertisement once a year in our newsletter, a certificate of membership, a copy of the newsletter mailing list on labels, and the right to attend meetings. (They have no vote or voice in Association business.)
